iOS apps. That ships.

Figma to TestFlight in 8 weeks. Apps that pass App Review the first time, ship at 99.7% crash-free, and use the platform like locals — not like web tabs in disguise.

01 — What We Build

Native, hybrid,
and everything between.

We pick the stack from the problem, not the trend cycle. Most clients leave with a recommendation in week 0 — and a build plan that survives App Review, Play policy, and the next OS release.

// 01 · iOS NATIVE

iOS
that feels native.

SwiftUI-first, Swift Concurrency for sane async, StoreKit 2 for subscriptions. Built for iPhone, iPad, and the SharePlay / WidgetKit / App Clips edges that make apps feel modern.

SwiftUISwift 6StoreKit 2WidgetKit
// 02 · ANDROID NATIVE

Android
done right.

Kotlin + Jetpack Compose, Material 3, Hilt for DI. Tuned for Play policy, baseline profiles, and the 8000 device matrix you actually ship to.

KotlinComposeHiltCoroutines
// 03 · CROSS-PLATFORM

One codebase.
Two stores.

React Native (Expo + EAS) for product-led teams; Flutter when the brand owns every pixel. Native modules where it matters — Bluetooth, camera, performance hot paths.

React NativeExpo · EASFlutter
// 04 · BACKEND & SYNC

Offline-first
by default.

tRPC + Postgres, edge-rendered APIs, real-time sync via WatermelonDB or Replicache. The app keeps working in the subway and reconciles on the way out.

// 05 · RELEASE OPS

From commit
to store.

Fastlane pipelines, internal + beta tracks, signed builds on every PR. App Review and Play policy submission handled by us — including the rejection letters nobody warned you about.

// 06 · POST-LAUNCH

The hard part
starts at 1.0.

Crash triage, A/B tests, store-listing tuning, OS-update breakage. Optional retainer for v1.x — paid by sprint, never on a yearly handcuff.

02 — How We Ship

Eight weeks.

05 — Questions, Answered

Q·01Engineering★ Most asked

Native or React Native — which do we pick?

We choose based on the product, not the trend. Native (SwiftUI / Jetpack Compose) for hardware-heavy work — camera, BLE, AR, audio, performance hot paths — or for design teams that own every pixel and want platform-true motion.

React Native + Expo for product-led teams shipping weekly who don't need bespoke per-platform UX. The platform call happens in week 0, in writing — and we'll tell you when you don't need an app at all.

Q·02Process

Do you do design, or only engineering?

Both. A senior product designer leads weeks 1–2 in Figma — wireframes, hi-fi mocks, and a clickable prototype installed on your device by day ten. Native motion, real type, real haptics — not static screens.

If you already have a designer or a working Figma, even better. We'll pair with them through the sprint and skip the design fee — engineering is the deliverable, design is the means to a shippable v1.

Q·03Operations

Who owns the App Store & Play accounts?

You do — from day one. We set up App Store Connect and Play Console under your business entity, using your domain, tax ID, and bank details. We're added as developers, never as owners or admins of the financial side.

At launch we hand over the keys, transfer team access, and step out cleanly. You own the listing, the signing certificates, the revenue, and every review — forever. No vendor lock-in.

Q·04ProcessIncluded

What about App Review rejections?

Included. We've handled 4.0 (functionality), 5.1.1 (permissions), 5.1.2 (data collection), and the long tail of Play policy escalations. Most rejections come down to copy, privacy strings, or screenshot mismatches.

If Apple or Google sends a letter during the engagement, we draft the response, fix the underlying issue, and resubmit — no extra invoice, no separate scope. The submission deadline stays the deadline.

Q·05Engineering

How do you handle v1.1, v1.2, and so on?

Two options. Sprint retainer — buy 2-week increments as you need them, no monthly minimum, cancel any time. Or handoff — full source, CI pipeline, runbooks, and a 30-day Slack channel for your in-house team to ramp on.

Most clients start on sprint and move to handoff around v1.2, when their team is hired and the product has settled into a release rhythm. We don't sell yearly contracts.

Q·06Operations

Can you sign an NDA before the brief call?

Yes — mutual NDA returned within the hour, no lawyer rounds, no back-and-forth on language. Tick the NDA box in the brief form and we'll send our template back signed before your reply lands in our inbox.

For sensitive briefs we also offer encrypted email (PGP) and Signal — details shared on request after the NDA is countersigned. Routine for us, fast for you, no extra charge.

Q·07EngineeringProgram tier

What about HIPAA, SOC 2, or other compliance?

We've shipped HIPAA-aligned health apps and SOC 2 type II environments — including the audit prep, the BAAs, the documentation, the penetration tests, and the long tail of vendor questionnaires that come with them.

Compliance work lives in the Program tier, never the Build budget — the paperwork alone is real engineering, and we won't try to squeeze it in. Tell us the framework, we'll quote the scope cleanly.

Q·08Pricing

What if our project doesn't fit your tiers?

Tell us anyway. The three tiers cover ~80% of what we do; the other 20% is the interesting work — 10-week scopes, weird hardware (BLE meshes, custom firmware), white-label SDKs, and multi-app product suites.

We scope it from the brief and send a fixed quote within 24 hours. The reply is either a custom proposal or a referral to a studio we trust that's a better fit for what you're trying to ship.

07 — Said About The Work

One quote.
From the right founder.

There's a wall of testimonials on the home page. This is the one that matters for mobile — from a founder who shipped, got featured on App Store Today the month we launched, and let us put real numbers in this quote.

★★★★★

We'd tried two agencies before BytesGenX. Both promised "native feel." Neither shipped. BytesGenX got us into TestFlight in week three, into the App Store in week nine, and onto App Store Today the month after.

They write Swift like Swift engineers. That sounds obvious until you've worked with people who don't.
